I Barisèi

Since 1898, the Bariselli family, known as I Barisèi, has been cultivating vineyards in the Franciacorta DOCG area, passing down a production philosophy rooted in terroir and quality across generations. The story begins with Paolo Bariselli, great-grandfather of Gian Mario, who acquired the first farmhouse in Nigoline di Corte Franca in the early 20th century, laying the foundations for the winery’s development.

In the 1990s, the renovation of the estate and the launch of the Solive agritourism marked a turning point, leading to the first wines released under their own label. In 2002, the modern winery in Erbusco was established, enabling a more precise and consistent approach to Franciacorta production.

Today, I Barisèi cultivates around 43 hectares within the glacial basin of Franciacorta, an area characterised by diverse soils and favourable conditions for Franciacorta DOCG. The combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, together with careful vineyard management, results in wines with structure, freshness and good ageing potential.

Production is focused on the traditional method, with extended lees ageing that often exceeds 60 months. Technical choices, including cryomaceration and a sustainable approach to viticulture, contribute to a style defined by aromatic precision, balance and territorial identity.

I Barisèi wines represent a consistent interpretation of Franciacorta DOCG, combining experience, family continuity and attention to detail, suitable both for immediate enjoyment and for further ageing.
