Marchesi Frescobaldi

Marchesi Frescobaldi

The Frescobaldi family, with a winemaking heritage spanning over 700 years, stands as a prominent name in the global wine industry. Since the early 1300s, the Frescobaldi family has cultivated their lands in Tuscany, crafting wines that embody the region's excellence. The family has included notable historical and cultural figures among its ancestors and maintained commercial ties with major European courts, including the English and Papal courts, since the 13th century.

In 1855, the innovative vision of the Frescobaldi family led to the introduction of international grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay in Tuscany, enriching the region's winemaking traditions. Throughout the 20th century, Vittorio, Ferdinando, and Leonardo Frescobaldi further established Tuscany as a benchmark for fine wine production, with wines recognized and awarded globally.

Today, under the leadership of Lamberto Frescobaldi, the company continues to highlight the distinctiveness of each of its ten estates, spread across Tuscany and Friuli, encompassing over 890 hectares of vineyards. Among the most prestigious estates are Castello di Nipozzano, Castelgiocondo in Montalcino, and Luce della Vite, known for its internationally acclaimed SuperTuscan wines like Montesodi, Mormoreto, and Lamaione.

Frescobaldi aims to produce wines that tell a story of passion, connection to the land, and family dedication across generations. With an annual production of over 7 million bottles, Frescobaldi remains a symbol of excellence, proudly representing Tuscany on the international wine stage.
