Domini Castellare di Castellina

Domini Castellare di Castellina tells a story of passion for wine and the land that nurtures it, a journey that begins in Tuscany and extends to Sicily. Founded by Paolo Panerai, a journalist and publisher with a deep love for wine, DCC comprises four prestigious wineries: Castellare di Castellina, Rocca di Frassinello, Feudi del Pisciotto, and Gurra di Mare. Each winery embodies Italian winemaking excellence, recognized and awarded internationally.

Castellare di Castellina, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, is the oldest winery in the group, established in 1977. Here, the craft of winemaking is deeply connected to Tuscan roots, using only indigenous grape varieties like Sangioveto to create wines that fully express the unique character of the terroir.

Rocca di Frassinello, an ambitious project born from collaboration with Domaines Barons de Rothschild-Lafite, is located in Maremma, Tuscany. This winery, designed by architect Renzo Piano, produces wines that combine the qualities of Tuscan and French grape varieties. Among them, the renowned Baffonero, a pure Merlot, stands as a symbol of power and elegance.

Feudi del Pisciotto and Gurra di Mare represent the group's Sicilian expressions. Feudi del Pisciotto, located in southeastern Sicily, is known for its complex wines, benefiting from the island's unique climate. Gurra di Mare, on the other hand, is a small winery overlooking the sea of Menfi, specializing in fresh and mineral wines like Tirsat, a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier.

Domini Castellare di Castellina is not just a collection of wineries but a journey through diverse wine cultures, where each bottle tells a story of dedication, quality, and a deep connection to the land.
