Vietti

Founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti, the Vietti winery is located in the heart of the Langhe region, in Castiglione Falletto. This medieval village, perched on a hill, remains the home of a winery that has shaped the history of Barolo and other great Piedmontese wines. After Mario Vietti returned from the United States in 1917, the winery underwent a significant transformation, focusing on the production of high-quality wines.

In the 1950s, Alfredo Currado, husband of Luciana Vietti, brought new energy to the winery, combining the family's long-standing experience with innovative ideas, such as the creation of the famous Artist Labels and the pure vinification of Arneis, which began in 1967. These insights have made Vietti a benchmark in the international wine scene.

In the 1980s and '90s, the management passed to Mario Cordero and then to Luca Currado Vietti, who continued the growth of the winery. In 2016, the winery was acquired by the Krause family, who further expanded the estate with new Cru vineyards in the Barolo and Barbaresco regions, and in the Colli Tortonesi for the production of Timorasso.

Today, Vietti stands out for its meticulous care in grape selection and its ability to interpret each unique terroir, producing wines that are an authentic expression of the land. The winery remains true to the values that have made it famous, while ambitiously looking to the future, continuing to craft wines of great character.
