Why we like it
The Barolo Cerretta 2015 comes from vineyards located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the Cerretta area, at an altitude of 340 meters above sea level, with a west-facing exposure. The vines, planted in 1998, grow on calcareous clay soils, ideal for producing wines of great complexity. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks in contact with the skins for about 25 days, with daily pump-overs and a délestage halfway through the period. The aging process varies from 18 to 30 months in 25 hl French oak barrels from the Fontainebleau forest, ensuring a wine of great elegance and structure.
