Tasting notes

Of a bright golden color, this Franciacorta reveals an explosion of complex aromas to the nose, the result of long aging in the cellar. It opens with notes of pastry such as zabaglione, toffee, wildflower honey and shortcrust pastry, continuing with hints of eucalyptus and delicate nuances of coffee and toasted cocoa. On the palate, the experience is creamy and enveloping, culminating in an extraordinarily long finish, where the sweet notes of honey and soft butter return, leaving a velvety and persistent sensation.

Pairings

Thanks to its characteristics, this wine pairs perfectly with tasty and medium-spicy cow's milk cheeses, or can enhance slices of noble fish accompanied by tasty sauces.

Why we like it

The "seas" of Franciacorta, with their wavy shapes, give life to this complex Millesimato. The name "Adro" evokes both splendor and darkness, reflecting the unique character of the wine. The grapes come from vineyards on distal colluvial soils, trained in Guyot with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. After a soft pressing, the first fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with a rest of 8 months before the assembly. The second fermentation in the bottle is followed by an aging on the lees for 65 months, with a dégorgement that leaves a residue of 3 g/l of sugar.
